The creation of the Inside the World of Dinosaurs™ has been a collaboration of some of the best minds in science, literature and digital art. Over 30 specialists in their respective field, with 12 months of intense collaboration has yielded an app that will define the future of dinosaur reference guides.
An original app hand-made, from concept to completion, no expense was spared in the detailed research and craftsmanship of every digital asset. The app includes many never seen before recreations of dinosaurs suspended in mid-fight, complex animated sequences, and original sound recordings.
Australian author, Alicia Barnes worked closely with the M5859 team and expert paleontologists to write 200 pages of original material for the app. Combining scientific intelligence with humor and wit, her writing is brought to life by Stephen Fry's magical narration.

From the exotic colours on the skin of Cryolophosaurus, the textures on each plate of the Stegosaurus, to the delicate feathers of the Deinonychus, every detail was thoroughly considered in consultation with experts.
Movement and Motion.
The art and animation team not only created a stunning array of exciting realistic-looking dinosaurs, but ones that also moved in a realistic and life-like manner. Every detail was considered based on scientific fossil evidence.
Using the most advanced animation software tools, each and every dinosaur was rigged with a complex skeletal and muscle system that takes into account body mass. From each lumbering step the Suchominus takes, to every terrifying stride of the Velociraptor, the result is a collection some of the most convincing dinosaurs in motion.

At M5859 Studios, we worked hard to create an app that is truly interactive and engaging, that takes the dinosaur learning and entertainment experience to a whole new paradigm.
The art team painstakingly recreated everything in all 360 degrees. With a simple flick or drag of the finger, every dinosaur and object can be freely examined from any angle. With a simple double-tap or pinch, each dinosaur and object can fill the screen so that every scale, teeth, leaf or prehistoric encounter can be closely examined in detail. For the first time ever, see the pivotal moment when a Deinonychus leaps, in mid-flight, to make the final blow on a Tenontosaurus, from all 360 degrees!

The team at M5859 Studios collaborated with actor Stephen Fry (host of 'QI') to record over 5 hours or 200 pages worth of magical audio narration, bringing his much loved personality and wit to Inside the World of Dinosaurs™.
Each dinosaur comes alive with rich, original aural recreations for each of the 60 dinosaurs, from the roar of Tyrannosaurus, to the cute and quirky grunts of Psittacosaurus, whom has already become a household favorite!
